Copy Bin — Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Copy Bin (the “App”) handles information. It applies to the Copy Bin apps for iOS and Android (bundle id cc.livx.copybin) and the web tool at livx.cc/copy, published by Elya Livshitz (“we”, “us”).

The short version

Copy Bin lets you share text and images across your devices through short-lived “bins”. It requires no account or login, shows no ads, and does not sell or share your personal data. Content you put in a bin is stored temporarily so your other devices can fetch it, and is automatically deleted after 24 hours.

Bins are public by ID and expire in 24 hours

A bin is identified by a short code (e.g. livx.cc/copy/ab12). Bin codes are intentionally short so you can type them by hand on another device — which means anyone who knows or guesses a bin’s code can read its content. Treat bins as public: don’t put passwords, secrets, or sensitive personal information in them.

Bin content (text and images) is stored on our servers only to sync it between your devices. Each bin expires and its content is deleted 24 hours after the last edit. You can also clear a bin’s content yourself at any time.

What we collect

Bin content — the text and images you choose to put in a bin, stored temporarily as described above.
Anonymous analytics and diagnostics — limited usage events, app version, device model and operating-system version, and crash/error reports, to understand usage and fix bugs. This is processed through our hosting and monitoring providers (e.g. the bodify platform analytics and error monitoring) acting on our behalf. It is aggregate and anonymous, and is not linked to your identity.

What we do NOT collect

No name, email, phone number, or account — the App has no login.
No advertising identifiers and no third-party ad or cross-app tracking.
No location data.
No contacts or microphone access. Photos you explicitly share into a bin are the only media the App handles.
Clipboard content is read only when you explicitly paste or share it into a bin — never in the background.

No ads, no selling of data

Copy Bin contains no advertising and no ad networks. We do not sell, rent, or trade any data, and we do not share data with third parties for their own marketing.

Children’s privacy

Copy Bin is a general-audience utility and does not knowingly collect personal data from anyone, including children under 13. The App requires no account and gathers no personal information beyond the content you choose to place in a bin.

Data retention & security

Bin content is retained for at most 24 hours after the last edit, then deleted. Anonymous, aggregate diagnostic data may be retained for a limited period to monitor stability and improve the App. Data is protected in transit and at rest by our providers using industry-standard measures — but remember that bins themselves are readable by anyone with the bin code while they exist.

Your choices

Clear a bin’s content at any time from the App or the web tool, or simply let it expire. Uninstalling the App stops all processing on your device.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated “Last updated” date.
